This review aims to inform the reader about the main events in political geography that took place in the world in 2024. The article is divided into two parts. The first part - a “digest” of events in political geography of 2024 - is a general listing of relevant events in chronological order. The second part is a more detailed consideration of individual cases involving different political geography issues. The author selected such cases as the problem of delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz-Tajikistan borders; the signing of a memorandum of understanding by Ethiopia and Somaliland (the problem of unrecognized states); the creation of the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (integration alliances); Indonesia's project to move its capital from Jakarta to Nusantara (capitalism); the agreement between the United Kingdom and Mauritius on the transfer of the Chagos Archipelago to the latter (the problem of dependent territories).
