Invitation to publish in the second issue of Terra Politica. The theme of the issue is "The History of Political Geography in Russia."

We invite scholars, teachers, and practitioners, as well as graduate and undergraduate students, to submit their proposals and manuscripts of original articles for publication in the second issue of Terra Politica, a specialized journal on political geography.

The journal's mission is to develop a national scholarly school in political geography. To achieve this goal, the journal creates an open platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge and the discussion of the results of fundamental and applied research among academic and analytical specialists working in political geography and related fields, primarily human (socioeconomic) geography, political science, and international relations. The editorial board is guided by the principles of scientific integrity, objectivity, professionalism, and impartiality. The journal's editorial policy is based on the traditional ethical principles of scientific periodicals developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for editors, reviewers, and authors.

The journal is published on the initiative of a group of political geographers at MGIMO, headed by Editor-in-Chief I.Yu. Okunev. It is registered with the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor).

The debut issue of the scholarly almanac was published in June 2025.

The topic of the second issue, scheduled for release in the summer of 2026, is "The History of Political Geography in Russia," but articles on other areas of political geography are also accepted.
