This review examines two landmark works in the field of spatial analysis of international relations and world politics - "Atlas of International Relations: Spatial Analysis of World Development Indicators” (2020) and “Atlas of Human Development: Multidimensional Scaling, Clustering, Spatial Data Analysis” (2024). The design and methodology are covered in detail, the strengths and weaknesses of the “atlases of space” are noted, as well as their role in the formation of new methods of spatial analysis in the Russian science field.
