Abstract (English):
To ensure balanced socioeconomic development in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, it is necessary to consider a range of factors, among which spatial factors are particularly significant. Regions do not develop in isolation: they constantly influence each other through a shared cultural and informational environment, as well as through the flow of labor, capital, goods, and services. Ignoring territorial heterogeneity and the mutual influence of regions through cultural, informational, and socioeconomic flows reduces the effectiveness of management decisions. This analytical report examines a set of spatial analysis tools that enable the identification of patterns that remain hidden using traditional analytical methods.
